5 for Friday

1.  I’m loving summer.  I have gotten to paint, also something that sadly falls by the wayside during the school year. I am in love with these colors so they tend to be in pretty much everything I paint.

2. If you remember awhile back, I contemplated getting a puppy, of course everyone said, YES, and now we have little Widget.  He’s currently cooped up like a rabbit sleeping between my legs.  I absolutely love having a dog, we never had one growing up.  He’s playful and I love seeing him interact with all the different family members.  He fits in so well and is weird when he is gone.  I get to spend lots of time with him this summer! 🙂

3. The job search is getting closer to coming to an end.  I’m heading up for some interview next week.  When we are up there, we are looking at our apartment too!!!  So glad to have some part of the whole moving process accomplished!

4. I have had lots of time to organize all my teacher books though! They are all nicely separated into professional books, binders of subjects, picture books sorted!  Along with sorting through all my other material, I literally could use a whole room just for teaching!

5. I have been using summer to cook more as well! I’ve been having fun trying new recipes. Any tried and true recipes that I must try?

I'm stuck in a rut when it comes to cooking lately… every week we do basically the same things… and it doesn't help that I have so many thing on Pinterest, I just forget to buy the necessary stuff at the store when I go. Have a great day!

Doesn't he just fill your heart with so much love and joy? I just got a puppy too about 2 month ago. Can't imagine life without her!! Post some of your cooking recipes and pictures!! My guest bedroom is extremelyessy with teacher stuff right now that I have to organize next week. I totally agree that one whole room can be devoted to teaching 🙂

I spend lots of time painting in the summer as well – it gets neglected with the busy school year. That is the sweetest little dog! A great time of year to get a new animal since you'll have time to dedicate to that new relationship. Enjoy the summer together!

Such a cute puppy! I never had a dog growing up either and just adopted my first one last year. It was the best thing I've ever done!

I love to try new recipes. I ended up making two pinterest boards: "Foods I Have Made" and "Foods to Try." It has been super helpful for my brain that can't remember where I got a recipe. Here are my boards (if that helps)

I paint too! I love the paintings you posted, you are so talented! Isn't life better with a dog? They show us the important things in life: love, play, & rest! Your puppy is adorable 🙂 Good luck with your interviews!
