What to look for in a Back to School Read Aloud??
First – I want to caution that COVID read alouds have some potential negative aspects that we need to look at critically. Ms. Duane has a highlight called “COVID book” that explains everything you need to know when looking for a coronavirus read aloud.
Next, we want a back to school read aloud that is short, engaging and packed with social emotional content for students.
For 2nd grade a back to school read aloud might look different than a 4th grade back to school read aloud. Content and maturity of students directly affects which book should be chosen but especially a covid read aloud!
