I love building in online test prep for elementary students all. year. long, so when it comes time we don’t have to cram everything in and we are ready to go.

How do you know the best test prep websites for elementary?! Let’s dive into some fun (*mostly FREE*) test prep for elementary you can do!

What is the best online test prep for elementary students?

For online test prep for elementary students I look for some factors before recommending:

it must be SELF CHECKING – I want to see results immediately (and not grade!)
I don’t especially like logins – if this can be at home or in centers I like being able to view. Usually programs with logins have a cost and are purchased by your school as well.
RIGOR – it has to be worth doing and really be valuable the time involved.

Elementary Test Prep Motivation and Snacks

Test Prep doesn’t always have to be online for elementary students and making it fun is seriously the BEST.

To review so many reading skills we had a campout – (see all the tents, and activities here!) and spent hours reviewing but with so much engagement you wouldn’t believe it was even getting ready for the test!

This test prep blew my kids out of the water and it does say 4th but it pushed my students so much this could easily be used with 5th grade too or upper 3rd! This transformation is one that was fantastic for students and had so much “meat” that it is worth doing over and over!

I love offering students gum before testing. It wasn’t against our rules and we never had gum any other time of year so it was a special treat!

Here are the gum “quotes” I used with our elementary state testing to make fun snacks! The students looked forward to each day and it made for fun test prep motivation for elementary!

I absolutely love this elementary test prep reminder. This would be great to do before testing and a great way to connect with elementary students ahead of any test prep strategies.

Listening Center Google Forms – BEST online test prep!

A little biased here but these Google Forms built for listening SAVED me during test prep time! We used these all year but it worked because they are rigorous!

I found it hard to fit in listening test prep for elementary and this was online listening test prep made easy!

These passages are so easy to use! Entirely FREE and even have the ability to listen.

These are also great to model test prep strategies with as they closely reflect the “look” of our specific state testing (but that could vary by vendor)
