ASMR Videos: Give Your Students a Quick and Effective Brain Break

I know how important it is to keep our kids and students focused and energized throughout the day. And let’s be honest, sometimes it’s a struggle to find ways to do so. That’s why I want to introduce you to ASMR videos for kids – a technique that has gained popularity in recent years and has been shown to be an excellent tool for giving your students a quick and effective brain break.
What the Heck is ASMR?

Don’t worry if you haven’t heard of ASMR before – I’ve got you covered! ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, which is basically just a fancy way of saying that some people experience a pleasurable tingling sensation in response to certain sounds or visuals. ASMR triggers can include things like whispering, tapping, or the sound of someone shuffling papers. It’s a bit of a weird phenomenon, but trust me – it works!

Why Use ASMR Videos for Brain Breaks?
So, you may be wondering – why use ASMR videos for brain breaks? Well, the benefits are numerous! ASMR videos can help reduce stress and anxiety, making them great for students who are feeling overwhelmed. They can also improve focus and concentration, which is perfect for those moments when your students start to drift off. And let’s not forget about the relaxation benefits – ASMR videos can even help with sleep!
How to Use ASMR Videos in the Classroom or at Home

Using ASMR videos for brain breaks is super easy. You can find a ton of ASMR videos on YouTube or other video-sharing platforms – just search for “ASMR videos for kids” or “ASMR sounds for studying”. You’ll want to find videos that are appropriate for your students’ age group and interests. And of course, make sure you preview the video before showing it to your students to make sure it’s suitable.
When it’s time for a brain break, have your students put on their headphones and watch the ASMR video. Encourage them to focus on the ASMR sounds and visuals and to allow themselves to relax and enjoy the experience. After a few minutes, your students will be feeling refreshed and re-energized, ready to tackle their work once again. And if your students struggle with sleeping, you can even use ASMR sounds for calming students to help them sleep better.
