I love using this Monster Genetics Lab every single year! It has always been a favorite of my students!

A fun way to up the STEM content and really get kinesthetic learners involved would be to make the monsters out of clay or playdoh!

Slime can be underestimated….I could list some reasons why it wouldn’t be a good classroom activity but I can also list why it would!

The INTEREST – use it to your advantage! I love ALL the science connections you can incorporate and about my secret ingredient. Make sure you grab the Slime Science Book to accompany and extend learning in your classroom!

If you are interested in hosting a STEM night at your school – this resource is INVALUABLE! Easy to print – complete with supply list to get families engaged in STEM as well!

Inquiry is such a HUGE part of STEM and allowing students choice in what they solve is important – why not work with candy?!

This experiment has been an oldie but goody for YEARS! I have loved the results – how easy it is – and how much of student choice it is focused on.

If your students love candy (who doesn’t?!) I have a whole post dedicated to candy experiments!
