What does a STEM activity for kids mean?
A STEM activity essentially combines Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (sometimes Art into STEAM) through a open ended problem solving method.

Generally supplies, time, construct are up to the educator.
For example – build the longest bridge from toothpicks and marshmallows. Could change to weight of bridge, type of bridge…etc.
Let’s break down the STEM components of the activity:
Science – forces, weight, gravity
Technology – researching bridges, types of bridges, recollection, modeling
Engineering – building the physical bridge, testing and modifying designs
Math – length of bridge, calculating how many supplies used, cost of projects
STEM learning objectives can be quick or STEM labs could take a week it really depends on the scope of the STEM activity.
