April Fool’s Day pranks especially office pranks are a favorite of mine! Let’s be clear from the start- not every office is ok with or should be a place for April Fool’s day pranks, but that is up to you to gauge. Obviously in education these pranks consist of more “mild” no harm done April Fool’s day jokes vs. a full on lots of preparation office prank.

Taking it back a few years I actually had a running joke that I used every April Fool’s day at my school – or each new school/building I was in. A classic joke that NEVER got old. It allowed me to branch out and put my personality out there as well. Also – I always got admin approval (which wasn’t a problem) but just as a disclaimer.

Slap these bad boys around columns in cafeteria….Table height in the new labratory….right next to end of locker rows…..and WAIT

Believability wise – I’d definitely go for stickers with a USB port because that’s pretty common these days!

The April Fool’s Day Office Prank to end all others!

My favorite office April Fool’s prank of all time has to be the Voice Activated Copier. A customized sign just for your copier that it is now voice activated. This works so well for a couple reasons

it’s 2020 and it feels like this should have happened already!
It’s so believable. Tough when a coworker really needs copies but is steadily fallen for all day long
If one coworker falls for it….they really want to get someone else to so they aren’t the only one.

Here is a link to all the brands so you can print out a sign just for your specific machine (this is important as they look OFFICIAL!) Tape it up without anyone seeing and you are good to go!

It’d be really great to watch this unfold if you are causally in line for the copier. I like to write “April Fools” on the back side of the note when they life it up. I’ve worked in three different buildings and people (as in more than one person) has fallen for it every single time!
